Contradictory to it's title, this piece has nothing to do with astrology.
This piece has a deep meaning for me, but I won't reveal that meaning.
An inspiration unto itself, Leo Rising claimed me quickly, and was completed within a
short span of time. Leo Rising is a work that is meant to be understood in the instant one
experiences it. Leo Rising is the only work I've ever done that has but one definition, despite the viewers perceptions.
This is not a plot to confuse the viewer. The piece simply can not be defined by one for another. The viewer
should understand the message for her/himself as it speaks to spirit, soul, and of something much greater than ourselves - which, I could
never be so bold as to define for you (the viewer). Leo Rising is a spontaneous piece to be experienced and
absorbed on sight, rather than upon review. The title says as much about the work as the subject does.
