Team sports provide an opportunity for improving social skills such as sharing, teamwork and group interaction while enhancing those individual intrinsic values of self-motivation, self-initiative and self-improvement. The Association views those values as necessary for developing a competent and confident person ready to meet the challenges of adulthood.

The member associations, through their directors and coaches, have the primary responsibility of assuring the sportsmanlike behavior of players, coaches and fans. The Association may offer guidelines and suggest sanctions but, at the time of the offense or when the objectionable behavior occurs, the officials in the gym will hold the directors or the coaches responsible for resolving the problem.

In the event that a re-districting may change a particular draw area, a player may continue with her original team. Players desiring to change to a new draw area team must be approved by both the losing and gaining teams and by the President. A coach must have been coaching for at least one year with an association before his daughter(s) may leave her home draw area to play for her father.

Each division will host its own post-season tournament. At the Spring 2006 meeting of the League, a method of improving competition known at relegation was adopted. Jayvee division records will determine which one or two teams will move to stronger or weaker divisions in the following season. These new alignments will be determined at the post-season meeting.

Seedings for post-season tournaments will be based upon division records (most wins or fewer losses). If necessary tiebreakers will be used in the following order;

If weather forces the compressing of a tournament schedule as in 2005, the first measure used will be the elimination of lower seeded teams.
All regular season rules and procedures remain in effect without exception in post-season tournament play.
