Annually The Frederick County
Art Association (FCAA) sponsors an art competition open to all
Frederick County High School seniors who plan a continued program of study in
the visual arts. The competition is normally held in conjunction with the
Delaplaine's May students' show.
Applicants are invited to submit three examples of their
best work. Original art work executed in any medium, two-dimensional or
three-dimensional, is acceptable. Applicants are also requested to include a
brief description of their philosophy and their educational and career goals.
Each winning artist is requested to attend the the FCAA
Annual Show reception to receive an award certificate and have their photo
taken for newspaper publication.
