The Frederick County Art
Association, Inc. (FCAA), is a non-profit organization committed to
encouraging artistic growth within its membership, and to promoting interest
and participation in the visual arts in the Frederick, MD area. Meetings
are held on the second Monday of the month at 7:30 P.M. at the Delaplaine
Visual Arts Education Center (no meetings are normally scheduled for July,
August or January). At each meeting there is featured a speaker or
demonstration of interest to the visual arts. A monthly newsletter keeps
members informed on current activities. Each member is encouraged to submit a
piece of his art in the club's annual member show. We encourage young
artists by annually awarding scholarships to deserving high school
seniors.
