| What is the FCAA? The Frederick County Art Association, Inc. (FCAA) is a non-profit organization committed to encouraging artistic growth within its membership, and to promoting interest and participation in the visual arts in the Frederick area. Meetings are held monthly and feature programs on artistic media, styles and techniques, art appreciation, and visits to studios of area artists. A monthly newsletter keeps members updated on current area art activities. Our annual scholarship competition for high school seniors who are planning to continue studies, seeks to recognize and encourage developing art talents. |
Who is in the
FCAA? The Frederick County Art Association, Inc. is made up of a wide variety of people. The group ranges from students to instructors; from amateurs to professionals, to those who just enjoy looking at or learning more about the visual arts. The FCAA is the single largest group of active artists in the area. With this broad base of students, professionals, and those who appreciate visual art, the FCAA is able to present concerns and view points for the support of visual arts in the community in a voice that is heard. |
