24th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition
2009 |
Agora Gallery of New York City is pleased to announce the 24th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition 2009. Awards valued at Thirty Eight Thousand dollars ($38,000) will be distributed as follows: exhibition at the Chelsea Art Gallery, cash awards, Internet exposure and publicity in ARTisSpectrum magazine.
The
exhibition will take place in Chelsea, New York City. The
gallery/artist split will be 50/50. In the spirit of giving, 25% of
Agora Gallery's proceeds of sales resulting from the competition
exhibition will be donated to Art Start an award-winning, nationally
recognized program helping underprivileged youth and teens.
Competition Calendar
- Competition opens: February 5th
- Submission deadline: March 10th
- Results announced: March 20th
- Exhibition for the selected artists: August 14th through September 2nd

Projekt30 is an artist run arts organization. It is
our mission is to expose artists to "brick and mortar" galleries interested in
presenting their work. Each month we publish the work of 30 artists. We are
shaping the art world in the twenty-first century using our public jury system
to encourage broader public interest in the fine arts.

The Maryland Art
Place web site is sponsored by the Maryland State Arts Council.
Their Resource Bulletin lists hundreds of educational and
exhibition opportunities and is distributed to over 3,000 regional artists,
individuals, and organizations throughout the region.
Click here to access
their on-line version of the Bulletin, we do not attempt to list all the
calls for show entries that the MAP bulletin has.
The Maryland Art Place annually shows twelve to
fifteen exhibitions featuring artwork in all media of both emerging and
established artists in the mid-Atlantic region. The work is selected by
independent curators and MAP staff from open calls for submission, MAP's Artist
Registry, and by invitation. In addition, MAP presents exhibitions at other
sites throughout the region through traveling exhibitions and temporary
projects.
